Is The Night Sky Getting Darker During Lockdown? The Answer Is Not What You Think

“We’ve been getting a lot of questions about whether light pollution has been impacted by COVID-19,” says John Barentine, Director of Public Policy at the Tuscson, Arizona-based International Dark-Sky Association, which is currently running a photography contest called ‘Capture the Dark’. “The short answer is that we don’t yet know definitively.”

This picture really brings happiness to my heart. I mean, this pandemic has made my life, and I believe, almost everyone else's, too hard. I am just happy that I still get to enjoy the night time. I work at night, so I really do enjoy gazing up in the night sky whenever I can. I hope that I can continue to enjoy, because to be honest, it is all that is making me cope with all of this tragedy.
